 The European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 is now approaching very fastly. It will be officially launched in Milan on December 7-8th at the European Culture Forum.EFAITH has been working very hard preparing this unique occasion to promote the value of industrial heritage and to present the role of so many institutions, associations and volunteers saving it. The main aim of EFAITH is using 2018 to launch a bottom-up movement, stimulating local and regional initiatives, and co-operation between them across borders. Two ideas have been forwarded 1) a campaign of twinning between associations 2) a series of thematic months – where the same themes are celebrated in every country. For these already a series of initiatives are announced, as a steam heritage weekend in March and a meeting of European mining heritage associations in April. But there is more and more is expected. You also can register your projects and initiatives as part of the theme months – to be added to the official agenda and to be allowed to use the EYCH2018 label for them. Go to this web page, download the form at the bottom of the page, complete it and return it as soon as possible to the EFAITH secretariat.
